Yes, I absolutely believe so, without a doubt, with no hesitations, and with no regrets. God is in control, at all times, whether I or anyone else in the world choose to believe it or not. U.S. Politics...all I can say is that it's no worse than any other country in the world...looks to me that we're all in the same boat right now. The boat where living in pretense and imaginary prosperity has led so many to over extend and all the while growing more and more inwardly-focused. This going on to grow into a world wide epidemic of selfishness and greed. Now, why would someone still think that God is in fact in control in the midst of all that is going on? Good question. My answer...my opinion, well it's simple really...God is in control, but His control does not work according to our desires or wants, it works according to His will. God allows things in life to happen for His purposes, not ours. From what I see, not only of my own country, but every country in this world, is that God is allowing each land to return to it's own vomit as it apparently has chosen, He is allowing each land to play with mud pies, while there is a beautiful Kingdom to behold...why is He allowing all this? Basically, so that over time, the people of each land will see their true need for Christ, and that they will see that without Christ in the center, there is nothing to this life at all. This I understand is something that may be hard to accept, or believe, but through my own experiences in life, and yes, I have experienced my own wanderings through the desert, I have come to see my true need for Christ over and over again...but as sinners, in a world that lives as it does, I do have to be constantly reminded and sometimes the pains of life is what brings the healing to begin. I know you didn't ask for all that, but that's my opinion. Later- JJ
